I enjoy occasionally shooting something different especially when it is not my forte. Today the Houston Zoo had a special day where photographers could entry the Zoo two hours before the zoo was open to the public. Surprisingly there was only about 100 photographers at the event I thought there would have been many more, but for me the fewer the better. The zoo had some special shooting areas for certain animals but I did not want to follow the heard and went off on my own. My goal was to try to shoot the big cats and other animals as if they were in the wild, as natural as possible. This was not easy and challenging at times but I was able to get a few shots that looked like the animals were in the wild. It was nice being alone usually when you visit the zoo the animals stay far back in there enclosure or hide but today being alone the animal where curious and would come up as close to me as possible to see who I was and sometimes talked to me, it was cool. It was nice getting out there and doing something different, just had a great time.
