I had been shooting this spot for about 4 weekends in a row both Friday and Saturday night looking for a good sunset with some nice clouds. I would go one week no clouds, another week too many clouds or just overcast. But I drove out ever weekend evening even though it did not look like good shooting conditions because you never know what the weather will do so I would go and see what shacks out. On the fourth weekend I did not have much faith it was going to be a good sunset with a heavy overcast but by the time I arrived at the location the clouds where starting to break up and by sunset I hit pay dirt! Just the shot I was looking for nice clouds, good color in the sky withsunbeams. My point is if you like a location and think it would make a good image keep going back until the condition are what you are looking for.
